Sump & Ejector Pumps

Do I need a battery backup sump pump?

A battery backup sump pump is strongly worth it in our area because the storms most likely to flood your basement are also the ones most likely to knock out your power — exactly when your primary pump needs to run. The backup keeps pumping through an outage.

It also covers you if the primary pump fails mechanically or gets overwhelmed by a very heavy inflow, adding a second layer of protection for a finished basement.

If you store anything of value in the basement or have finished living space down there, a backup is one of the higher-value upgrades you can make to your pump system.
